Sugar Mill Snub: SP MLA Raises Alarm Over Exclusion from Inauguration Invite
Samajwadi Party MLA Samarpal Singh voiced his frustration over the omission of his name from the invitation for the inauguration of the crushing season at Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills, Kalakheda, in his constituency. Singh criticized the inclusion of BJP leaders while he was excluded, calling it a protocol breach. He has addressed his concerns to the Sugarcane Minister and Amroha’s District Magistrate.
Amroha. The absence of Samajwadi Party MLA Samarpal Singh’s name from the invitation card for the inauguration of the crushing season at The Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills, Kalakheda (Hassanpur), has sparked controversy. Singh, representing Naugawa Sadat, has expressed his discontent to Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary and taught the mill management a lesson on protocol.
The invitation cards for the event featured names of BJP leaders, including Amroha MP Kanwar Singh Tanwar, Hassanpur MLA Mahendra Singh Khargavanshi, Dhanaura MLA Rajeev Tarara, and BJP district president Udaygiri Goswami. However, Singh’s name was conspicuously missing, despite the mill being located in his constituency.
Singh termed this as a protocol breach and questioned the mill management’s intentions. He spoke to Sugarcane Minister Chaudhary and expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that the mill falls under his constituency and omitting his name from the invitation card was inappropriate.
Singh also conveyed his displeasure to Amroha District Magistrate Nidhi Gupta Vats and accused the mill’s General Manager of negligence.
This incident has sparked debate among SP and BJP supporters. Singh stated, “The Kisan Sahakari Chini Mills, Kalakheda, falls under my constituency. The crushing season is commencing, and my exclusion is unjustified. Featuring BJP leaders as guests while ignoring me, the MLA, reflects a biased mindset.”
He added, “I’ve informed the Sugarcane Minister and DM about this. This is a blatant attempt by BJP leaders, and the mill management has acted arbitrarily.”
