Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav announced wheat procurement at ₹2,600 per quintal and pledged to increase Ladli Behna Yojana aid to ₹3,000/month. He transferred ₹3,500 crore to beneficiaries of Ladli Behna, Social Security Pension, and Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Yadav also launched ₹144 crore in development projects and promoted organ donation initiatives.
Indore: Chief minister Mohan Yadav, who on Monday transferred around Rs 3,500 crore to the bank accounts of beneficiaries of Ladli Behna, Social Security Pension, and Kisan Kalyan Yojana during an event in Piplarawan village of Dewas district, announced that the wheat crop in the state would be procured at Rs 2,600 per quintal this year.He reiterated that the financial assistance to beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana would gradually increase from Rs 1,250 monthly to Rs 3,000 per month.Yadav, while addressing the gathering, criticised Congress leaders for allegedly protesting against ‘Ram Janmabhumi’ and later not even visiting Ayodhya to offer prayers at the Ram Mandir. “People from all across the world are going to Prayagraj, but no one from them has seen it so far,” the CM took a dig at Congress, further saying that ‘Pappu, Pappu’s mother and sister’ did not go to Prayagraj, but they would visit to seek votes. The CM said that four generations of the Congress party have been fooling people for the last 50 years by taking the fake name (surname) of Mahatma Gandhi. “Don’t know where the real Gandhis have gone, but these fake Gandhis have been a pain in the neck,” Yadav said, further taking a dig that even after their ‘daughter’ got married to another family, she didn’t leave the surname (Gandhi) as, for them, ‘vote bank’ is more important.
He praised BJP for forming govt in as many as 21 states under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.CM Yadav said that the Ladli Behna Yojana would continue uninterrupted, gradually increasing the amount to Rs 3,000 per month for each beneficiary. He criticised the Congress party for doubting the scheme’s sustainability and emphasised his govt’s commitment to fulfilling all electoral promises. He also announced that wheat would be procured at Rs 2,600 per quintal, ensuring farmers don’t have to depend on anyone. In addition to the Ladli Behna disbursement of Rs 1,553 crore to 1.27 crore beneficiaries, CM Yadav also released funds including Rs 337 crore for 56 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme and Rs 1,624 crore for 81 lakh farmers under the Kisan Kalyan Yojana.”Guard of honour will be given to those who donate organs and bodies to needy patients to promote organ donations,” the CM said, adding that air ambulance and such other services have been made available for needy patients of the state. On the occasion, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 53 development projects worth Rs 144 crore. This included the inauguration of 37 projects costing Rs 102 crore and the commencement of 16 new projects worth Rs 42 crore. He also interacted directly with some beneficiaries and mentioned plans to rename some villages in the districts.Earlier in the day, Yadav participated in a Kalash Yatra in Piplarawan, marking the culmination of a procession that carried water from the Kalisindh, Parvati, and Chambal rivers.
