Nigeria : FG Partners Jigawa To Ensure Steady Supply Of Water To Sugar Factory

The Federal Government has pledged support to Jigawa State to enhance water supply for its sugar factory, aiming to boost production and economic development. Water Resources Minister Joseph Utsev affirmed this during a visit from Governor Umar Namadi. The partnership aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda to drive food production, job creation, and improved livelihoods across Nigeria.
The Federal Government has pledged to partner Jigawa State Government to scale up water supply to sugar factory in the State to boost production.
Professor Joseph Utsev,Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation,announced this on Wednesday in his office when the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
Utsev, who said the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu administration was geared towards accelerating food production, job creation and youth empowerment for economic growth and development, described the partnership between Federal Government and Jigawa State as crucial towards making lives meaningful for all citizens.
He promised to undertake a working visit to the sugar factory in Jigawa State to ascertain the water situation for possible intervention to make the factory viable for citizens to maximise its benefits.
Earlier, the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, had explained that the visit was to solicit partnership with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation to ensure steady water supply at its sugar factory to boost production.
He added that steady water supply to the sugar factory would add value to the economy of the state and the nation in general.
