Serbia expects 24.3% rise in wheat output in 2025


Serbia expects to harvest 3.605 million tonnes of wheat in 2025, up 24.3% from last year, with a yield of 5.9 tonnes per hectare across 607,075 hectares. Compared to the 2015–2024 average, production is projected to rise 25%, according to the national statistical office.

The harvested area is expected to total 607,075 hectares, while this year’s yield is seen at 5.9 tonnes per hectare, the statistical office said in a data release.
When compared to the 2015-2024 ten-year average, wheat production is expected to rise 25% in 2025.
According to preliminary data the statistics office released in September, Serbia last year harvested 2.9 million tonnes of wheat on an area of 549,032 hectares, with a yield of 5.3 tonnes per hectare.
