MARS slightly raises EU soft wheat yield forecast


The EU’s Crop Monitoring Service (MARS) has slightly raised its 2025 soft wheat yield forecast to 6.09 t/ha, up from 6.08 t/ha in June, 6% above the five-year average. Durum wheat, barley, and rapeseed estimates also increased, while corn yield was revised down to 7.18 t/ha. Sunflower yield stands at 1.94 t/ha.
The EU Crop Monitoring Service (MARS) has slightly increased its soft wheat yield forecast for the bloc in 2025 to 6.09 t/ha, compared to the June estimate of 6.08 t/ha. The expected yield is 6% higher than the five-year average.
The durum yield is estimated at 3.78 t/ha. The June estimate was 3.75 t/ha, according to MARS data.
The spring barley forecast is 5 t/ha, compared to 4.9 t/ha in June, and the winter barley forecast is 5.45 t/ha, compared to 5.38 t/ha in June.
The corn forecast has been lowered from 7.46 t/ha to 7.18 t/ha.

Rye — 4.20 t/ha
Triticale — 4.48 t/ha
Rapeseed — 3.20 t/ha
Potatoes — 36.5 t/ha
Sugar beet — 74.8 t/ha
Sunflower — 1.94 t/ha
Soybeans — 2.65 t/ha
Beans — 2.81 t/ha
Peas — 2.41 t/ha
