Durum wheat harvest ends in France


France’s 2025 grain harvest is progressing rapidly. By July 21, 98% of hard wheat, 86% of winter soft wheat, and 89% of spring barley areas had been threshed—well ahead of last year and the five-year average, according to FranceAgriMer. Favorable weather is aiding the accelerated harvest pace.
The grain harvest in France is proceeding at a rapid pace this year, the Zerno On-Line agency reports.
The harvest of hard wheat is almost complete. According to the state agency FranceAgriMer, by July 21, 98% of the area under hard wheat had been threshed (64% on the same date last year and 84% on average on the same date over the past five years), 86% of the area under winter soft wheat (37% and 59%) and 89% (28% and 51%) under spring barley.
