EIA weekly data: Ethanol production up 2%, stocks up 1%, exports up 42%


U.S. fuel ethanol production rose to 1.096 million barrels per day for the week ending July 25, up nearly 2%. Stocks increased by 1% to 24.716 million barrels, while exports surged over 42% to 154,000 barrels per day. No imports were reported during the week.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was up nearly 2% the week ending July 25, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 30. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up 1% and exports were up more than 42%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.096 million barrels per day the week ending July 25, up 18,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.078 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending July 25 was down 13,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded to 24.716 million barrels the week ending July 25, up 272,000 barrels when compared to the 24.444 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending July 25 were up 743,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 154,000 barrels per day the week ending July 25, up 46,000 barrels per day when compared to the 108,000 million barrels of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending July 25 were up 96,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending July 25.
