South Korea held a tender to purchase wheat


South Korean millers bought 50,000 tons of U.S. wheat in a September 24 tender awarded to Columbia Grain International. The purchase included soft white, hard red winter, and dark northern spring wheat, priced between $224.96 and $259.08 per ton FOB, for shipment between November 15 and December 14.
On September 24, a group of South Korean millers held a wheat procurement tender for 50,000 tons of U.S. wheat, Reuters reported. Columbia Grain International won the tender.
Purchased:
- 24,640 t of soft white wheat (SWW) with a protein content of 9.5-11% at $224.96 per ton FOB
- 850 t of soft white wheat (SWW) with a protein content of up to 9% at $235.99 per ton FOB
- 12,200 t of hard red wheat (HRW) with a protein content of 11.5% at $236.18 per ton FOB
- 12,310 t of dark northern spring wheat (DNS) with a protein content of 14% at $259.08 per ton FOB
According to the tender terms, shipment will take place from November 15 to December 14.
