Vietnam October rice exports down 56.2% y/y at 344,000 T
Vietnam exported 344,000 tons of rice in October, down 56% from a year earlier, with export earnings falling nearly 65% to $177 million. From January to October, exports totaled 7.2 million tons, 7.5% lower year-on-year, valued at $3.7 billion. Vietnam’s export prices recently eased to a two-month low.
HANOI: Vietnam exported 344,000 metric tons of rice in October, down 56.2% from the same month of last year, government data showed on Thursday.
Rice export revenues in the month fell 64.8% from a year earlier to $177 million, the National Statistics Office said in a report.
Vietnam rice prices hit over 2-month low
For the January-October period, rice exports fell 7.5% from a year earlier to 7.2 million tons, with a value of $3.7 billion, it said.
