Jordan held a tender for the purchase of wheat
Jordan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade bought 60,000 tons of milling wheat at $260 per ton C&F Aqaba from Buildcom in a January 6 tender. Bids came from CHS, Cargill, Cofco and Ameropa. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of April. Other offers were higher priced and not accepted.
On January 6, the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade held a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin, according to the Zerno On-line news agency, citing European traders.
60,000 tons of wheat were contracted at $260 per ton on a C&F Aqaba basis from Buildcom.
The following companies also participated in the tender:
- CHS, which bid $261.95 per ton;
- Cargill – $262.95;
- Cofco – $263;
- Ameropa – $264.48.
According to the tender terms, delivery will take place in the first half of April.
