UAE: Al Khaleej Sugar refinery runs at 70% capacity
Al Khaleej Sugar’s UAE refinery is operating at around 70% capacity, Managing Director Jamal Al-Ghurair said at the Dubai Sugar Conference. The port-based refinery produced 1.5 million metric tonnes of sugar in 2025 and remains the world’s largest of its kind.
Dubai: Al Khaleej Sugar’s refinery in the United Arab Emirates is currently operating at about 70% of its capacity, Managing Director Jamal Al-Ghurair said on Tuesday, MarketScreener reported. He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Dubai Sugar Conference.
The refinery produced 1.5 million metric tonnes of sugar in 2025, he said.
Al Khaleej Sugar operates the world’s largest port-based sugar refinery.
