NFCSF holds Talks with Gadkari on Ethanol, Green Energy
NFCSF leaders met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss expanding ethanol, biofuels, sustainable mobility and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). They sought continued policy support to strengthen energy security, enhance cooperative sugar mills, improve sugarcane farmer prosperity, and advance Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
A delegation of the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd. (NFCSF), led by President Harshvardhan Patil and Managing Director Prakash Naiknavare, met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his residence in New Delhi to discuss key issues concerning India’s sugar, ethanol and bio-energy sectors.
The meeting focused on enhancing the sugar industry’s role in strengthening the country’s energy security through ethanol blending, biofuels, sustainable mobility and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The leaders also discussed measures to ensure the long-term prosperity of sugarcane farmers and cooperative sugar mills.
The delegation emphasised the need for continued policy support to expand ethanol production, promote green energy initiatives and increase the contribution of the cooperative sector towards the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
