Onkar Group’s Gauri Sugar achieves 1 crore litre ethanol production milestone
Gauri Sugar and Distilleries Pvt. Ltd., part of Karnataka’s Onkar Group, has produced over 1 crore litres of ethanol, strengthening its contribution to India’s ethanol blending programme. The company attributed the milestone to modern technology, operational efficiency, employee dedication, and strong support from sugarcane farmers.
Pune: Gauri Sugar and Distilleries Pvt. Ltd., a unit of the Onkar Group located at Bajolga in Bhalki taluk of Karnataka’s Bidar district, has crossed the milestone of 1 crore litres of ethanol production, the company said.
Announcing the achievement, Onkar Group Chairman Baburao Botre-Patil said the milestone reflects the group’s continued focus on quality production, operational efficiency, environmentally sustainable industrial practices and farmer welfare. He congratulated the company’s officers, employees, technicians and sugarcane farmers for their contribution to the achievement.
According to the company, the milestone marks a significant achievement in its ethanol production operations and strengthens its contribution to the country’s clean energy and ethanol blending programme.
Botre-Patil said reaching the 1 crore litre mark was the result of teamwork, dedicated efforts and the effective use of modern technology rather than just a production figure. He credited the achievement to the commitment of the company’s workforce and the continued support of sugarcane growers.
He added that the success was made possible through the confidence and timely cane supply of farmers, the dedication of employees and officers, the expertise of technicians and effective planning by the management.
