Corn ethanol production in Brazil forecast to reach 11 billion liters in 2030/31


In Brazil, Petro Noticias reported that according to growth estimates from the National Corn Ethanol Union (UNEM), corn ethanol production in Brazil is expected to reach 11 billion liters in the 2030/31 campaign, up from the 6.5 billion liters in 2023/24.
“Even with favorable future prospects, the profitability scenario of the Brazilian corn ethanol industry proved challenging from the beginning of the pandemic until mid-2023,” the report stated.
“In this context, the national industry started to invest in increasing the profitability of the operation, becoming a global reference in performance and technology,” it added.
