EIA weekly data: Ethanol production down 1%, stocks up slightly, exports down 4%
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell 1% to 1.09 million barrels per day in the week ending June 19. Ethanol stocks rose slightly to 24.585 million barrels, while exports declined 4% to 121,000 barrels per day. Compared with last year, production, stocks, and exports all increased.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by 1% the week ending June 19, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 24. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up slightly while exports were down 4%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.09 million barrels per day the week ending June 19, down 12,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.102 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending June 19 was up 9,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol increased to 24.585 million barrels the week ending June 19, up 111,000 barrels when compared to the 24.474 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending June 19 were up 181,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 121,000 barrels per day the week ending June 19, down 5,000 barrels per day when compared to the 126,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending June 19 were up 11,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending June 19.
