Indore to host wheat conclave on April 24-25

The upcoming WPPS CEO Conclave in Indore on April 24–25 will gather 400+ industry leaders to explore sustainable growth and innovation in the wheat sector. With sessions on AI, smart milling, trade, and women’s leadership, the event will highlight Madhya Pradesh’s potential in value-added wheat products and global market expansion. Top officials and international delegates will headline discussions.

The second WPPS (Wheat Products Promotion Society) CEO conclave with the theme “Wheat and wheat products: Collaborating for sustainable growth and market leadership” at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on April 24-25. Over 400 industry leaders, international delegates, and policymakers are expected to participate in the conclave.

WPPS is an industry association dedicated to promoting growth, sustainability, and innovation in the wheat and wheat products sector. It serves as a platform for millers, bakers, pasta manufacturers, food processors, technology providers, policymakers, and global experts to engage on advancements, challenges, and market opportunities across the wheat value chain.

Over the course of two days, the conclave will feature thematic sessions covering a wide spectrum of topics. These include strengthening wheat supply chains for sustainable growth; advancing milling, processing, and product innovation; leveraging AI and IoT in wheat and baking technologies; enhancing global trade, market intelligence, and export potential; showcasing women’s leadership and entrepreneurship in the wheat ecosystem.

Special sessions

The event will open on April 24 with an inaugural session featuring speakers such as Sunil Agrawal, President, Madhya Pradesh Roller Flour Mills Association; Ajay Goyal, Chairman, WPPS; Dean Dias, CEO, Cereals Canada (virtual); John Southwell, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, Austrade, Australian government; Avinash Chandani, Partner, Deloitte India; Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog; and Subrata Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Special sessions will explore climate-resilient wheat varieties, digital grain financing for smallholders, sustainability in food processing, and smart milling systems. A dedicated ‘Women in wheat’ session will be chaired by Sridevi Annapurna Singh, Director, CSIR-CFTRI, and will feature prominent women leaders from agriculture, research, and industry.
