Andhra Pradesh will sell BPT Super Fine rice at ₹52/kg and Grade-1 raw rice at ₹50/kg from August 1 through 130 Rythu Bazaars and 500 rice mill outlets. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said the initiative aims to ease consumers’ burden amid rising rice prices.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has announced that high-quality rice would be made available at affordable prices starting August 1st. Pawan stated that the sales would be conducted under the aegis of the AP Civil Supplies Department. He noted that offering BPT Super Fine rice at ₹52 per kg and raw rice at ₹50 per kg would provide relief to the common people. He revealed that the Alliance government took this decision to stand by the people of AP. The Deputy CMO shared this update via a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“I welcome the decision taken by the AP Civil Supplies Department, which demonstrates the Alliance government’s commitment to supporting the common man. It is commendable that rice is being sold at lower prices through the Civil Supplies Department to provide relief to the public amidst rising prices in the open market. Arrangements have been made to make the rice available starting August 1st at 130 Rythu Bazaars and through special counters set up by 500 rice millers across AP,” Pawan shared on X.

He announced that BPT Super Fine rice would be provided at ₹52 per kg and Grade-1 raw rice at ₹50 per kg. He said they reviewed open market prices, held an urgent meeting with millers, and fixed the rates to ensure affordability for the public. “I believe that this administrative decision taken by the alliance government will reduce the financial burden on the common people,” said Pawan Kalyan.
