Russia exports more than 61 million tons of grain in the 2025/26 MY – Russian Union of Grain Exporters

Russia exported over 61 million tonnes of grain in the 2025/26 marketing year, including 46 million tonnes of wheat. Turkey remained the largest buyer, followed by Egypt. Russia also exported 3 million tonnes of pulses, with China, Turkey, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh as key importers.

Russia exported more than 61 million tons of grain in the 2025/26 MY, according to Kseniya Bolomatova, Executive Director of the Russian Union of Grain Exporters and Producers, pole.rf reported.

“Wheat remained the main driver of exports, with shipments totaling 46 million tons by the end of the season,” she said.

Bolomatova also noted that Turkey was the largest buyer of Russian grain in the 2025/26 MY, importing 10.2 million tons, including 7.4 million tons of wheat. Egypt ranked second with 10 million tons, including 9.9 million tons of wheat. The top five importers also included Iran (6.3 million tons, including 1.7 million tons of wheat), China (3.4 million tons) and Saudi Arabia (2.3 million tons).

“Pulses were another promising export segment,” she said. “In total, Russia exported 3 million tons of pulses in the 2025/26 MY, with China, Turkey, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh being the largest buyers.”
