Tunisia buys soft wheat and durum in tender, traders say

Tunisia’s state grains agency purchased approximately 125,000 metric tons of soft wheat and 100,000 tons of durum wheat in an international tender on Thursday, aligning with the sought volumes. Prices for soft wheat ranged from $245.83 to $247.83 per ton, while durum wheat ranged from $336.50 to $346.49 per ton. The shipments are scheduled for October and November, varying by origin.

HAMBURG, Sept 19 (Reuters) -Tunisia’s state grains agency is thought to have purchased about 125,000 metric tons of soft wheat and 100,000 tons of durum wheat in an international tender on Thursday, European traders said.

The purchase was in line with the volumes sought in the tender.

Traders reported the following results with volumes in metric tons and prices in dollars per ton, cost and freight (c&f) included:

Traders had earlier reported a lowest offer at $244 in the soft wheat tender, but Tunisia does not always take the lowest price if conditions attached are regarded as unattractive.
