Ukrainian wheat exports are 20% lower than last year’s figures

Ukraine exported 32.79 million tonnes of grain and legumes in MY 2025/26 as of May 25, down 16.3% year-on-year. Wheat exports fell 20.6%, barley exports dropped 55.5%, while corn shipments declined 10%, reflecting weaker overall agricultural export performance.

As of May 25, in the MY 2025/26, Ukraine exported 32 million 787 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is 5 million 357 thousand tons or 16.3% less than last year.

This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

As of May 25, Ukrainian wheat exports amounted to 12 million 271 thousand tons, which is 2 million 532 thousand tons or 20.6% less than last year.

Barley exports amounted to 1 million 482 thousand tons – 55.5% less compared to the same period last year. In addition, 0.2 thousand tons of rye were exported abroad.

Ukrainian corn exports amounted to 18 million 594 thousand tons, which is 1 million 877 thousand tons or 10.0% less than last year.

In addition, 56.3 thousand tons of flour (75.1 thousand tons in terms of grain) were sent abroad, which is 6.7 thousand tons or 8.3% less than last year.
