Taiwan bids on estimated 105.650 T of wheat from the U.S.
European traders reported that the Taiwan Flour Millers’ Association issued a tender for 105,650 metric tons of grade 1 milling grain from the U.S. The deadline for bids is August 1. The tender seeks dark northern spring, hard-red winter, and soft-white wheat in two consignments: 53,175 tons for shipment between September 30 and October 14, and 52,475 tons for shipment between October 18 and November 1.
European traders reported on Friday that the Taiwan Flour Millers’ Association had issued a tender for an estimated 105.650 metric tons grade 1 milling grain to be purchased from the United States.
The deadline to submit price bids in the tender is August 1.
The tender is seeking a variety of wheat types in two consignments to be shipped from the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast in two consignments.
They said that a consignment of 53.175 tons was needed for shipment between September 30 and October 14. They also said that a second consignment, 52,475 tonnes, was wanted for shipment between October 18 and November 1.
The types of wheat sought are dark northern spring, hard-red winter and soft-white wheat. Michael Hogan reports.
