Germany raises wheat crop forecast

Germany’s 2025 wheat harvest is forecast at 21.56 million tons, up 16.5% from last year, thanks to favorable rain in June and July. Rapeseed production is expected to rise 7.1% to 3.88 million tons. However, barley and corn outputs are projected to decline, with spring barley down 9.3% and corn 8%.
The German National Association of Agricultural Cooperatives has raised its wheat harvest forecast from 21.51 million tons to 21.56 million tons, up 17% from last year.
The hot weather at the beginning of summer had only a limited negative impact on the wheat yield. In June and July, there were rains in the wheat growing areas, which contributed to the good development of crops. The new wheat harvest is already underway, and rapeseed harvesting will begin soon.
