Tunisia’s state grains agency is believed to have purchased about 100,000 metric tons of soft wheat to be sourced from optional origins in an international tender on Friday, European traders said, Reuters reported.
It was all purchased at an estimated $254.58 a ton cost and freight included (c&f) from trading house Bunge, they said. Bunge had earlier on Friday made the lowest offer in the tender for wheat from optional origins.
The wheat was bought in four 25,000 ton consignments for shipment between November 5 and December 15 depending on origin supplied.
Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
