Ukrainian grain exports exceeded 28 mln tons

Ukraine exported 28.2 million tonnes of grains in MY 2025–26, down 17.8% YoY. Wheat, corn, and barley shipments all declined, reflecting weaker export volumes amid ongoing challenges, highlighting pressure on the country’s grain trade despite its key role in global markets.

As of April 17, in the MY 2025/26, Ukraine exported 28 million 215 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is 6 million 130 thousand tons or 17.8% less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

As of April 17, Ukrainian wheat exports amounted to 10 million 704 thousand tons, which is 2 million 854 thousand tons or 21.0% less than last year.

Barley exports amounted to 1 million 423 thousand tons – 36.6% less compared to the same period last year. In addition, 0.2 thousand tons of rye were exported abroad.

Ukrainian corn exports amounted to 15 million 650 thousand tons, which is 2 million 377 thousand tons or 13.2% less than last year.

In addition, 51.7 thousand tons of flour (or 68.9 thousand tons in terms of grain) were sent abroad, which is 5.1 thousand tons or 8.9% less than last year.
