Bangladesh to import 1.5 lakh tonnes of rice from India and Myanmar
Bangladesh has approved the import of 1.5 lakh tonnes of rice from India and Myanmar, according to the Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase. The plan includes 50,000 tonnes of non-basmati boiled rice from India at $467.7 per tonne and 1 lakh tonnes of white rice from Myanmar at $515 per tonne. This move aims to meet domestic rice demand.
