Dehradun: Sugar mill expected to start operations by November 21
The Doiwala sugar mill in Dehradun is nearly ready for the upcoming crushing season, with 90% of preparations complete and successful trial runs conducted. Key stations within the mill and purchasing centers for sugarcane are also prepared. Executive Director Dinesh Pratap Singh expects operations to commence on November 21, pending a few final arrangements and confirmation of the inauguration date.
Dehradun: Preparations are nearly complete at the Doiwala sugar mill for the start of the new sugarcane crushing season. According to the mill administration, 90 per cent of the work is finished, and various trial runs have been successfully conducted. The sugarcane centres are also being readied to ensure a steady supply of cane from the purchasing centres. Essential stations within the mill are fully prepared for operation, and the mill’s operation commencement is expected to start by November 17, reported Amar Ujala.
The mill administration is coordinating with guests to finalize a date for the crushing season’s inauguration, and it is anticipated that sugarcane crushing will begin on November 21. Executive Director Dinesh Pratap Singh confirmed that the mill is ready for operations, with only a few formalities remaining. He added that all arrangements should be firmly in place within the week, although the official date for the start of the crushing season is yet to be confirmed.
