EIA weekly data: Ethanol production down 1%, stocks up slightly, exports down 19%
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell below 1% to 1.102 million barrels per day in the week ending June 12. Ethanol stocks rose slightly to 24.474 million barrels, while exports declined 19% to 126,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by less than 1% the week ending June 12, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 17. Stocks of fuel ethanol expanded slightly while exports fell by 19%
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.102 million barrels per day the week ending June 12, down 6,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.108 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending June12 was down 7,000 barrels per day.
Stocks of fuel ethanol reached 24.474 million barrels the week ending June 12, up 22,000 barrels when compared to the 24.452 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending June 12 were up 354,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol dipped to 126,000 barrels per day the week ending June 12, down 29,000 barrels per day when compared to the 155,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending June 12 were down 37,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending June 12.
