Indian transportation gets petroleum minister to agree to 300 ethanol fueling stations
In India, Reuters reports the transportation minister has agreed with the petroleum minister that Indian Oil will open 300 ethanol fueling stations across the country in an effort to boost ethanol distribution and achieve blending goals. The shift to ethanol and higher blending levels is part of a wider domestic strategy to achieve net-zero by 2070, despite feedstock challenges due to the lower sugarcane harvest expected this season, that includes a recent shift to reduce tax on Japanese hybrid vehicles.
