Global sugar markets moved in opposite directions on August 26, with NY raw sugar rising 1.85% to 17.59 cents, while London white sugar fell 0.58% to $514 per tonne. Corn gained, while ethanol remained unchanged, Brent crude declined and Indian equity markets closed lower.
