Russian wheat selling price fell nearly 15% year-on-year
Russia’s June wheat producer price fell 14.6% year-on-year to RUB 12,440 per tonne, while corn, barley, rye, oats and pulses also declined. In contrast, buckwheat prices surged 70.4% and millet increased 14.1%, according to Rosstat data.
The average producer price for wheat in Russia stood at RUB 12,440 per ton in June, down 14.6% from RUB 14,568 per ton in the same month a year earlier, pole.rf reported, citing data from Rosstat.
Prices for most other grain crops also declined. Corn prices fell 17.3% to RUB 1,092 per ton, barley prices dropped 17.1% to RUB 12,569 per ton, rye was down 10.1% to RUB 10,396 per ton, while the average oat price declined 23.7% to RUB 10,136 per ton.
Millet, by contrast, rose 14.1% year-on-year to RUB 12,650 per ton.
“The sharpest increase was recorded for buckwheat, with the average selling price rising 70.4% to RUB 19,430 per ton from RUB 11,404 per ton in June 2025,” the report said.
The average selling price of pulses stood at RUB 15,675 per ton in June, down 30.2% from the level recorded a year earlier.
