NEW DELHI: Sugar shares closed lower in the Wednesday’s session.

Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(up 6.23%) and Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.(up 0.55%) stood among the top gainers.

Mawana Sugars Ltd.(down 4.87%), EID Parry(India)Ltd.(down 3.02%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(down 2.69%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(down 2.67%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 2.67%), Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(down 2.61%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(down 2.53%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(down 2.28%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(down 2.12%) and Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.03%) were among the top losers of the day.
