Wheat Futures Still Mixed on Thursday, Diffferent Spreads
Wheat futures are mixed at midday, with Chicago SRW futures showing slight gains while KC HRW and MPLS spring wheat contracts are down. The Southern Plains and SRW regions are expected to see drier weather over the next week. Japan purchased 126,893 MT of wheat, including 30,793 MT from the U.S., while Thailand passed on a tender.
Wheat futures are mixed at midday, with Chicago SRW futures moving back into plus territory while the hard wheat contracts are down about 3 cents for the KC HRW and 1-2 for the MPLS spring wheat.
The next 7 days are expected to be drier across much of the Southern Plains and SRW regions.
Japan bought 126,893 MT of wheat from the US, Canada, and Australian, with 30,793 MT US specific. Thailand passed on their tender for 195,000 MT of wheat on Wednesday.
Mar 25 CBOT Wheat is at $5.58, up 4 cents,
May 25 CBOT Wheat is at $5.71 3/4, up 4 1/2 cents,
Mar 25 KCBT Wheat is at $5.74 1/4, down 1/2 cent,
May 25 KCBT Wheat is at $5.84, down 1 cent,
Mar 25 MGEX Wheat is at $6.06 3/4, up 1/4 cent,
May 25 MGEX Wheat is at $6.17 1/4, up 1/2 cent.
