Uttar Pradesh’s deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, on Sunday reached Amroha to boost party workers ahead of Lok Sabha elections in 2024. He reached Joya Road police line by helicopter at 11:30 AM and visited the party’s district office with his convoy. There, he extended greetings to party leaders, officials, and workers. He pointed out that during the SP government’s rule, there was a state of lawlessness, with undue influence over police stations and government offices.

Maurya assured farmers that the government would cover the expenses for their tube well bills. Besides, he asked party workers to prepare for the 2024 elections, making Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead the central government for the third time.

He noted that in previous governments, a significant portion of the development funds was misappropriated utilised and a major chunk of it was used as commissions to middlemen. Although tenders were issued, road construction remained stagnant. Since the BJP government came to power, there has been a transformation in the state, characterized by unbiased development. All government schemes now directly benefit the intended recipients with a single click, he said.

He expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in all 80 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the election’s historic significance for the next century.

He also emphasized the importance of youth employment and urged party members to commence preparations early. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of the world’s most esteemed leaders.

Maurya acknowledged the challenges faced by sugarcane farmers and highlighted the government’s commitment to addressing their concerns. He mentioned that he had been assigned the responsibility for 25 districts, including Amroha, and that the government had allocated a 35 per cent reservation for women.

He assured that women’s safety would be a top priority under the BJP government, and they would take strong action against criminals and mafia. He said people were no longer fleeing Amroha or other districts in UP; instead, criminals and mafias were on the run. In response to a worker’s request, the Deputy CM also pledged to construct a Ganga Ghat in Tigri.
