Maize Procurement : Online registration for procurement of maize at the center in Baramati Bazar Samiti
Baramati News: Online registration has been started for procurement of government maize at the center of Baramati Market Committee. Chairman of Baramati Market Committee, Sunil Pawar informed that the online registration for purchase of coarse grain (maize) with guaranteed price under Decentralized Paddy Purchase Scheme in Kharif Marketing Season 2023-24 has started from October 1 and the deadline for registration is till November 30.
Maize will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2 thousand 90 per quintal only from farmers who have registered online. Currently, as the maize season has started, inflows have started in the market. Therefore, the Baramati Market Committee has requested the government to set up a guaranteed purchase center and it has been approved. For that, the farmers should take advantage of the purchase center by enrolling in the purchase center within the time limit.
A seven-twelve extract (Pikpera) containing the record of the maize crop is required for registration by farmers at the maize procurement centre . Apart from this, photocopy of Aadhaar card and current bank account with exact details, xerox, mobile number etc. There should not be a record of the same farmer for the required documents as well as more than one bank account.
However, Maize farmers should first register online at Nira Canal Sangh, Tin Hatti Chowk Baramati. After the start of procurement, the registered farmers will be notified through SMS by number to bring the maize to the procurement center as per the order of registration. Accordingly, farmers are requested to clean and dry maize at the Baramati Market Committee’s mechanical sieve at the procurement center.
The guaranteed price of maize is Rs 2 thousand 90 per quintal. Secretary Arvind Jagtap informed that registration is mandatory for the farmers as they will buy maize from the farmers who will be registered.
