Wheat in Ukraine is only left for a month

Ukraine’s wheat reserves have reached critical levels, with enough food-grade wheat to last only about a month, according to Rodion Rybchinsky, Director of the Union “Flour Mills of Ukraine.” Many enterprises are struggling to secure adequate wheat supplies, processing only a fraction of their typical daily requirements. Despite a government mandate for mills to maintain a two-month flour supply, these reserves are running dangerously low .

Director of the Union “Flour Mills of Ukraine” Rodion Rybchinsky confirmed that his country’s wheat reserves have reached critical volumes. According to the expert, they are hardly enough for one month, as reported by RIA Novosti today, September 20.

It is about food wheat, which Ukrainian enterprises have.

“We have grain at many enterprises for less than a month. Today, enterprises are “chasing” automobile shipments of wheat. Enterprises that process a hundred tons per day are chasing a volume of 20-30 tons,” Rybchinsky confirmed.

The head of the Union also recalled that on Ukraine has a government decree according to which the country’s flour mills are required to have a two-month supply of flour in their warehouses.
