Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market falls
Sugar shares had a mixed performance on Tuesday. Top gainers included Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. (up 5.31%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. (up 4.88%), and Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd. (up 4.41%). Conversely, Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd. (down 1.87%) and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. (down 1.12%) were among the losers. The NSE Nifty50 fell by 13.95 points to 25,796.9, and the BSE Sensex dropped by 33.49 points to 84,266.29, with notable gains from companies like Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 3.06%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.29%).

Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 1.87%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.44%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 1.24%) and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(down 1.12%) were among the top losers of the day. The NSE Nifty50 index ended 13.95 points down at 25796.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 33.49 points at 84266.29.
