Russian Agriculture Ministry raises wheat export duty again
Russia will raise its wheat export duty to RUB 5.7 per tonne from August 8, ending three weeks at zero. The corn export duty will fall to RUB 127.2 per tonne, while the barley duty remains unchanged at zero.
Russia’s Agriculture Ministry has raised the wheat export duty to RUB 5.7 per ton, effective August 8.
The duty had remained at zero for the previous three consecutive weeks.
The export duty on corn will be reduced from RUB 232.6 per ton to RUB 127.2 per ton from the same date, while the duty on barley will remain at zero.
The duty rates were calculated based on the following indicative prices: $229.4 per ton for wheat (up from $228.4 in the previous period), $191.1 per ton for barley (from $191.0), and $230.2 per ton for corn (down from $232.2).
