Nepal: STC assures sufficient sugar supplies for festivals
The Salt Trading Corporation (STC) of Nepal has confirmed that there will be enough sugar available for the upcoming festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath. To meet the increased demand, the corporation has already begun importing extra sugar. On Wednesday, 2,200 sacks of sugar, each weighing 50 kilograms, were delivered to STC’s warehouse in Birgunj from India, with imports continuing to ensure there will be no shortages during the festive season.
Kathmandu: The Salt Trading Corporation (STC) has confirmed that enough sugar will be available for the upcoming festivals. The corporation has already started importing extra sugar to meet the rising demand during the festival.
On Wednesday, STC delivered 2,200 sacks of sugar, each weighing 50 kilograms, to its warehouse in Birgunj from India.
The imports are ongoing, and the STC has assured the public that there will be no sugar shortage for Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath festivals.
