Goodbye Chemical Farming! Farmers Benefit from Natural Farming with ₹1.20 Lakh Subsidy—Learn How to Apply

In Gujarat, farmers are reducing expenses and increasing income by using Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit in natural farming. The Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra are assisting Rs 1.20 lakh. Throughout this article, we will share all the details on how to apply for this Rs 1.20 lakh subsidy.

Farmers in Gujarat are adopting natural farming methods by using Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit, which do not require chemical medicines and fertilizers. This approach reduces farming costs and increases income.

Assistance for Natural Farming

To promote natural farming, the Agriculture Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra are offering assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh for the construction of facilities to produce Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit.

Incentives for Farmers

Dilipbhai Chavda, an officer from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, told the media that many farmers in Amreli district are moving towards natural farming and leaving behind chemical farming. He also mentioned that the state government is establishing facilities for producing Jeevamrit, Ghanjeevamrit, and other materials to support natural farming.

Eligibility Criteria:

Any farmer in the state, excluding SC/ST (in 208 talukas where the SMAM scheme is not implemented), is eligible for this scheme.
The beneficiary farmer must purchase from an authorized manufacturer listed in the panels prepared by the Agriculture office/department for periodic price discovery.

Benefits of the Scheme:

Assistance is provided under the AGR 2 (Farm Mechanization) Scheme.

Subsidy Details

Under the scheme, up to 50% of the cost, with a maximum subsidy of Rs 60,000, will be provided to Sakhi Mandals or farmer groups for constructing facilities to make and distribute Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit. The facilities must include:

  • A 5,000-liter tank for making Jeevamrit.
  • A 200-square-foot ground for making Ghanjeevamrit.
  • Structural facilities like 20 plastic buckets (20 litres each), 5 additional buckets, and a stirrer.

Assistance for Gaushalas and Cooperative Institutions

Gaushalas, Panjrapols, and cooperative institutions will receive 50% assistance or up to Rs 1.20 lakh for building a 10,000-liter tank, a 400-square-foot strong ground, and other structural facilities for Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit production. Interested parties must submit forms on the Kisan portal as required.
